Year VIII - This was the year that I released my first solo photo book - "New York From The Air". Now living in Colorado, my trips to New York were based around client work. And while I didn't fly as much in 2022, this flight had been in planning for almost 2 years by the time it was taken. "Sliver" was taken as we started our approach into Manhattan to begin our long climb up to 15,000' above the ground. Just before the sun breached the horizon, the light from the east caught one of the facades of One World Trade, and presented this dagger of light. Being the tallest building around, this steel and glass giant caught the morning light beautifully, while all the other landmarks were still ensconced in shadow.
