Coding
This work was created using Illustrator, and effects were applied using a GIF-making program.
Codes of Movement
In this work, small boxes transcend their status as mere geometric forms, becoming components of a coding system. The movement and positioning of each box—as well as its relationship to the others—represent an internal quest for order and meaning. When brought together, they strive to render the invisible language of the digital realm visible within a physical plane.
While coding generates meaning through specific rules and repetitions, the movements of these boxes explore the interplay between order and chance, control and freedom. Each movement signifies a change within the system, while every displacement marks the emergence of a new possibility. Though these forms may appear small and independent, they coalesce to create a unified, holistic structure.
The work examines the algorithmic thinking that underpins digital systems, expressed through the rhythm of movement and the language of geometric forms. In this way, code ceases to be merely a set of commands processed by computers; it transforms into a structure that leaves a trace in space, establishes a visual rhythm, and generates its own unique aesthetic.
This visual language—manifested through the movement of the boxes—invites the viewer to reflect on how order is established, how movement acquires meaning, and how simple units can give rise to a complex system.
