Hāʻena Blue Room
In the aftermath of the hurricane our Ohana is in pure disbelief
Last time we had a Hurricane of this magnitude was Hurricane Iniki 1992.
My Grandmother Helen Apana grew up on Kauai. She was a farmer in the rice patty fields in the 1930's She raised us in this very Blue Room as we was kids. Every summer we went to Kauai
The Blue Room has much more water back then and its natural filter was unscathed.
The proceeds from this art will go towards our Lahui and Ohana of the Apana's in need. Homes are completely gone while the storm surge came with 100 mph winds. The blessing is that we can rebuild.
I was asked what can I do to help. As the island has zero power we are getting supplies for my ohana to endure this lengthy power outage.
I will set this auction to last 24hrs which will start today!
We are cleaning up areas of Oahu today and will be heading to Kauai once we get the clear.
