The Druid Who Collected Wonder
After SethQuinn44 swore that glory must become shelter upon the artists, the Orb of Blockchain crossed forgotten valleys, until it reached the Prism Moor.
In the middle of that sacred circle stood Suparno67, a Goliath Druid wrapped in roots, feathers, bone, and moonlit moss. Where the Antlerhenge of Vael-Orrun stood beneath the burning curtains of the sky, enormous antlers loomed taller than castles, black against the stars. No elder remembered what creature had once worn them. No song could name the beast. Yet the stones around them still trembled with old protection, as if some ancient guardian had lowered its head to shield the world and never risen again.
His staff touched the earth. His breath moved with the wind. His heart listened beneath the soil. He had not come to conquer the old power. He had come to ask it to remember. Then pink light gathered between the standing stones. The Orb appeared, humming softly, its silver skin reflecting antlers, stars, and time. He opened his eyes. “You shine like a spirit,” he said, “but you smell of thunder and tomorrow.” His eyes started to glow. “I am both,” said the Orb. The druid smiled. “Then speak gently. This place remembers teeth larger than temples.” With that, his grip on his staff relaxed. “I know,” replied the Orb. “That is why I came.” The antlers groaned above them as the wind passed through their hollow crowns. He looked toward the stones. “No one remembers the creature that wore them. Yet still we stand inside its protection.” A quiet longing settled over him. “Not all guardians need names,” said the Orb. “Some survive as feeling. Some as ritual. Some as the strange pull that brings a soul back to art again and again.”
The druid lowered his staff. “And what of my soul?” he asked. The Orb pulsed once, and within its light he saw oceans of time opening like glass. He saw a future self wandering through distant cities, crossing seas, laughing among friends, sharing small joys, daily wonders, travel, and the quiet thrill of collecting digital art. “He will not be a king of noise,” said the Orb. “Nor a giant among crowds. But he will be known by warmth. Friendly. Enthusiastic. Present. A soul who gathers not only works, but moments.” The Druid listened. “And what will he seek?” he asked. “Spiritual art,” said the Orb. “Creations that do more than hang before the eye. Works that open like portals. Works through which he may speak with ancestors, feel time bend, and see the world become a prism.” The druid looked upward, where the aurora moved like spirits through a dark river. “A prism,” he whispered. “So light may remember every color it has ever been.” Tears glimmered in his eyes, catching the passing colors. “Yes,” said the Orb. “And through that prism, he will travel. He will follow art across the ages, and in following it, he will help others feel less alone beneath the stars.” For a long moment, the Antlerhenge of Vael-Orrun stood silent. The Druid placed one great hand upon the earth. “Then let the ritual hold,” he said. “Let the old ones know we still listen.” The Orb brightened. “And let the future know,” it answered, “that friendship too can be a sacred collection.”
And there, upon the Prism Moor, beneath antlers older than memory, another block was sealed, not as possession, nor power, nor fame, but as wonder, a portal through art, opened by a soul still listening for his ancestors.
