"Herald of Sentience" explores the uneasy, often unnoticed relationship we develop with our own inner demons. These demons, manifesting as our fears, insecurities, and unresolved traumas, begin as external threats but gradually integrate into our inner world, becoming a quiet yet persistent presence. Over time, we become comfortable with them, to the point where they cease to feel like invasive forces and instead take on the form of familiar companions. We stop recognizing their true nature; their role as obstacles to our growth; and instead allow them to gently guide our actions and thoughts. This work is a meditation on the subtle erosion of self-awareness and the slow, insidious shift that occurs when we fail to confront the darkness within us.
