Snow Portals

Merging the disciplines of photography, sculpture, and installation, this project continues the exploration of portals as symbols of transcendence and gateways to other realms. Set within the snow-covered Andes Mountains, the portals exist both in contrast and in harmony with the landscape, creating an interplay between the organic and the constructed, the natural and the supernatural. Rooted in the conceptual and material traditions of artists such as Robert Smithson and Richard Serra, the work transforms the landscape into a site of inquiry and contemplation. Its surreal presence evokes ancient myths of passage and transformation, connecting the work to universal themes of time, space, the elements, and the unknown.
