Satoshi Nakamoto is the pseudonym of the person (or group) who, in 2008, published the whitepaper titled "Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System" (Rus. "Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System").
This 9-page document describes the world's first decentralized cryptocurrency.

October 31, 2008 — Publication of the whitepaper on the Metzdowd cryptography mailing list (metzdowd.com).
January 3, 2009 — Launch of the Bitcoin network and mining of the genesis block (block 0).
