A wonderful place with a sad history. Once this synagogue was the center of the Jewish community of the small Romanian town. But during the 2nd World War the complete Jewish community was deported. Only a handful of over 1000 managed to escape. Since then, this synagogue has had no use, as there are no Jews left in the town today. Only a small association takes care to prevent the complete decay.
