For a long time, seeing and photographing an incandescent sunrise has been a lifelong ambition of mine. I had visited the region where I arrived numerous times during the previous two years, and I could see that the fantasy was becoming a reality as time passed. The only thing I could do as rays of light and colour began to emerge through the blue hour was to stand there wonder at the spectacle in front of me. The sky became gradually brighter until it finally reached its full splendour; a carpet of oranges, pinks, and purples spread out before my eyes as the sky slowly brightened. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that left me speechless and gasping for air every time.
