Enigma of the Opposites Series
Give and Receive
Give and Receive represents the golden
star reflecting the contrast between structure,
a symbol of humanity, and the vast and beautiful nature that surrounds it.
The star is the human being, who subjectively reflects all the good and bad interpreted from
that contrast.
This duality shapes its chiaroscuro—the inner self and what it gives to the world, and in turn
receives. It is both victim and perpetrator of its own reflections, interpreting its own reality.
Situated in a surreal, semi-open, minimalist architectural setting amidst white prisms
contrasting with the vastness of an infinite blue sea, this golden star, inspired by the
geometry of the icosahedron, extends some of its arms into space while others fold inward.
This dual gesture captures the suspended moment where the act of giving is also a reflection
of what is received, and what resides within resonates and manifests on the outside.
The piece embodies the very essence of the Enigma of Opposites series: the inseparable
coexistence of light and shadow, expansion and containment, impulse and pause, all framed
in an almost dreamlike, ethereal space.
