The Body of Memory
In this piece,
the female body becomes a surface of storytelling
a narrative of memory, identity, and a past that still flows through her skin and soul.
The motifs inspired by Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh extend across the veil and the woman’s body
as if history is no longer something to be read
but something embodied.
Through this collection, I aim to portray the modern woman not as separate from her past
but as a continuation of it
a contemporary woman carrying her cultural and mythological roots within her
even in silence.
The veil in this work both conceals and reveals
like a boundary between the outer world and the inner spirit of a woman
where another self quietly exists beneath the surface.
