Sama Dance

The Sama dance in Konya, Turkey is one of the most famous and sacred Sama dances, which is held in memory of the great Iranian poet and mystic Maulavi. Jalaluddin Muhammad Balkhi known as Rumi (1207-1273) was a great Iranian poet, mystic and philosopher whose works and thoughts have had a profound impact on Iranian Islamic culture, literature and mysticism.
