"This piece was created during the Rio Art Residency in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from June 17th – 23rd, 2024. Me Arrependo de Quase Nada (I Regret Almost Nothing) is about my artistic journey since I began graffiti in 2010 in Brazil. A reinterpretation of my graffiti, now in a more classic oil painting style. I received a lot of criticism at every point of my journey, but I always knew the way, and I believed in myself and my own vision. I have almost no regrets, and the few that I do have, I have covered up with paint and my art. It's about a path of conquering, mainly believing in yourself and following your dream. About the artist: Ottis Ots is a Brazilian contemporary artist, who draws inspiration from the exploration of colours with vivid contrasts. His work contains graffiti elements and a critical perspective associated with vandalism.
