Isolation is more than being physically separated from others; it is a state of mind where silence becomes louder than words, distance becomes deeper than space, and solitude begins to reveal the parts of ourselves that remain hidden in the presence of others. It is the feeling of existing in a world full of people while somehow feeling disconnected from it all. Sometimes, isolation is a prison built by circumstances, and sometimes, it is a shelter we create to protect our inner world from the noise, expectations, and chaos of reality. It can be both a source of pain and a path toward self-discovery, forcing us to confront our thoughts, fears, and truths without distraction. In isolation, we may lose our connection to the world, but we may also discover a deeper connection to ourselves. Because sometimes, the greatest distance is not between us and others, but between who we are and who we have become.
