Anukis - is a goddess from Sudan who was also worshipped in ancient Egypt. The translation of her name means both "embrace" and "bring about," and it was believed that through her embrace, she brought about the flooding of the Nile and made the fields fertile during the flood. She thus helped ensure the food supply of the Egyptian people.
