**Shame** is a deeply human emotion rooted in the fear of being judged, rejected, or seen as unworthy. It goes beyond feeling that we have done something wrong; it makes us question who we are. Shame often develops through criticism, comparison, rejection, and the expectations of others, leading us to hide parts of ourselves in order to feel accepted. It creates a distance between who we truly are and who we believe we need to be. At its core, shame is the fear that being fully seen will make us less worthy of love, connection, and belonging. Healing from shame begins with self-awareness, self-compassion, and the understanding that our imperfections do not define our worth.
