The Creative Adventure
Native Pond Plants
“Native Pond Plants” is the fifth digital work from the series, The Creative Adventure.
Through this series, I document my unprocessed raw digital abstract paintings, which were inspired by everyday observations made during my long morning walks in nature and completed in a single sitting in under ten minutes.
For my subject, I chose any object, landscape, scene, or a person that caught my attention during my morning walks in nature.
On returning from my walk, I would capture the essence of the chosen subject through a quick digital abstract painting on my iPad, without overthinking and by letting go of precision, and with the timer set for exactly 10 minutes. This daily practice of creating a quick, time-bound abstract painting helped me: embrace imperfection in my work, not focus on the outcome, overcome creative knots, further experiment with my style and focus on the big picture rather than the smaller details.
These works were never meant to be released as a part of any collection or even have an audience, but I had a change of mind and eventually decided to give them a digital provenance.
