Old International Pickup - Tailgate

The first truck that started off my old vehicle series was my grandfather’s red ’53 International Pickup. I used to ride in it when I was a kid and can still smell the interior when I see the cab piece and the tailgate reminds me of riding in the bed on the family farm in Southeast Kansas. Mom learned to drive on this - manual steering and transmission ;) I started fixing it up to drive in high school until someone drove up in a fast Camaro Rally Sport looking to trade for another truck we had for sale. The Camaro was fun, but if I were to do it again, I’d probably finish the restore on this beautiful old vehicle. Just the character and uniqueness of this ride made it special. The plates are from our time in Oklahoma when I was younger and the original photo on our place in West Texas.
