A collaboration with 24 Hours of Art, an initiative designed to reshape the creation and preservation of digital art on the Arbitrum blockchain. GCTs enable artists to create "art journals", documenting unpublished works, works in progress, and unminted pieces. This allows for the on-chain provenance of artworks, promoting authenticity and systematic organisation without increasing the token supply. "Abstract Expressions" is a generative art algorithm, a creative force that transforms the canvas into a playground of abstract exploration. The algorithm dissects the canvas into a grid, employing various compositional rules to craft the final artwork. It employs techniques like dry strokes, wet paint, and watercolor, mimicking the touch of a traditional artist. Guided by a set of rules, the algorithm strives to capture the essence of an artist at work—building layers, introducing different elements, and cultivating depth within the artwork. The strategic use of color adds another dimension, ranging from monochromatic subtlety to vibrant hues that evoke diverse feelings and emotions. The outcome can swing between harmonious balance and captivating chaos. What makes this project truly intriguing is the relationship between the digital artist and the canvas.
