About this painting

This painting was created for a group show in 2026 at The Corridor Gallery in Toronto. Myself and three other artist-friends would exhibit over the years at this gallery and it felt almost like a second home to me when it came to physical exhibitions. We all have fond memories of the gallery and it is now closing for good. We recently had one last show called "You were there". In addition to showing a selection of each artist's work, we each created a piece for the show loosely based on the title of the show. I instantly thought of the iconic Wish You Were Here album cover by Pink Floyd. This is the painting that I created inspired by that image and how it related to the unfortunate closure of this very special space.
