Some are wide open, offered to those we love and trust across years. Others are narrow, brief, to a passing colleague or a stranger in a fleeting moment. No two people ever see the same view inside us, and the same person may hold more than one window if they know us as a friend and as a coworker, as a confidant and as a collaborator. Windows are not fixed. Some widen as a relationship deepens. A stranger becomes a friend. A colleague becomes a confidant, and what was once a narrow opening grows. Others close: trust withdrawn, distance returned, a window once held wide narrowed back to almost nothing. The architecture is ever-changing.
