Twilight Serenity

As twilight settles over southern Alberta, the full moon lifts quietly above the snow-dusted Rockies, casting a soft glow across the rolling foothills below. The last golds of autumn linger in the aspens, holding their color just long enough to meet the cool light of evening. Captured on a calm, windless morning, Twilight Serenity reveals the rare balance between stillness and motion, the season changing and the light fading, the landscape pausing in perfect harmony. Every detail, from the pastel hues in the sky to the crisp mountain ridges, reflects the quiet grandeur that defines the edge of the Canadian Rockies. This image is the result of a meticulous 40-frame panorama, captured at 600 mm to compress distance and reveal the delicate layers of the landscape. The technique brings the moon and mountains into a single plane of massive scale, a perspective impossible to see with the naked eye, but felt deeply in the stillness of the moment. Each frame contributes to a tapestry of light and precision, stitched together to honor both the vastness and the intimacy of my home, the Alberta’s foothills.
