The Children of Time
Riotgear
The scroll weightlessly floated atop the mysterious totem seemingly alive. As they stepped closer, it ever so slightly unrolled itself turning in their direction. Its text glowing so all present could read clearly what it had to say. .. "Who really are the children of time? Let us first examine what it means to be a child of "x". To be a child of x means to be the offspring of x, and as its offspring, you, having been produced by it, then you must carry properties from x as its progeny. Now time as you have understood it in its linear progression has produced you, a linear identity formed from the experience of sequential events lodged in the mind. Now for your type of individuation to reach maturity driven by the innate impetus for growth, it requires , well... time. When certain levels of attainment are reached, a metamorphosis occurs. Just as a child reaches puberty and certain changes are effected into their body urging them to explore new avenues of their being, so too are certain changes affected in You when you begin to peer into the layers upon layers of time. And if time is not unidimentional, then it follows that neither are you as its progeny. You must then expand to fill this new space in your reality. Ok, Who then are the children of time? It is You! It is all of You who journey together. You are all The Children of Time, And just as you all wake up to the fluidity of time and of Your very Being, like the molecules in the sea that dance together to display the Majesty of the ocean, so will You! You will all band together and create a dazzling display of expression for The Master Universe to behold. "

Technical
This drawing exercise was an exploration of svg as a medium for the layered style randomized collections usually done using PNG. I find that the svg standard lends itself quite well for this type of project. It has all the advantages of png while remaining lightweight and programmable. Most times I've worked on a project... I have been forced to export my layers as PNG images simply because that is what the industry has settled on as standard. This marked the beginning of my explorations looking for the best way to express the coolness of the SVG standard as a non-technical artist. ( The path that led me to the discovery of UNIT. ) This collection contains 25 or so randomizations that could be generated from the single svg file.
Drawing timelapse
I've made available a time-lapse of the roughly 15 hours of drawing compressed into 6 minutes here: https://odysee.com/@Riotgear:5/tcotimelapse:3
