Superimposition

What started off as simple colour and shape studies, gradually evolved into captivating compositions reminiscent of hand sketches. Beneath the rough, crooked strokes lies thousands of lines of code working in tandem to bring forth abstract works bursting with colour and structure. Inspired by great traditional artists before me such as Paul Klee, Wassily Kandinsky and contemporary code artists such as William Mapan and Licia He, Superimposition is a project that aims to continue to encourage and strengthen human-computer collaboration in the evolving art scene. Each piece is hand-coded and hand-curated from thousands of outputs across the months that it took to make. I hope you all enjoy! Generative art entirely made with p5js by Kamau Kamau (2026)
