Still Watching

A man sits on a wooden chair in an empty room, facing an old TV on the floor. The TV is tipped over but still on. His head is a white glowing box, like a screen of his own, and it is on fire. The flames turn the whole wall behind him red. He does not seem to notice. Next to his chair a few red flowers are growing. He has not looked at them once. Why I made this: I made this after a night when I could not stop looking at my phone. I was tired and my head felt heavy, but I kept scrolling anyway. Not because I liked it. I just did not know how to stop. I think a lot of us burn out like this. Slowly and quietly, in front of a screen, where nobody can see it. The flowers are the part I care about most. Real life is right there next to him. He just has to turn his head. This one is for anyone who is tired and still watching. You can look away. The flowers are still there.
