Tender Ruinations - Editions
Recomposition
There is no purity in renewal.
Everything that grows
has inherited something from the ruin.
Time has a way of changing everything,
prepared or not.
Stillness is never the absence of creation.
It is the moment the heavy settles into soil,
and resistance dissolves into quiet ground.
Breakage is not destruction,
but a widening of the perimeter,
a delicate threshold where hidden currents gather,
translating pressure into light.
Building in the dark and reaching
in directions no one thought to look,
how many things were discarded
for being broken before anyone thought
to hold them up to the light
and see what they had become?
When motion ceases,
thought stops colliding and begins to root.
From the deepest places of rest
comes a silence with no audience, no defense.
What was broken became the ground.
What was lost became the light inside the loss.
What was over became the beginning
of something undecided what it will be.
Form transforms into rhythm.
The fractured becomes fertile.
The dormant becomes sanctuary.
Tranquility is not a void.
It is a moment of grace,
built from everything finally laid to rest.
