People keep asking where the human touch went. This piece answers with a hand that has been altered, rebuilt, assisted, and still reaching. The flower is not proof of nature. The chrome is not proof of machine. The hand is proof of survival. For those who know my story, and know I create with only my left hand after a traumatic brain injury, (not left handed) this piece speaks to adaptation, survival, and the human spirit still present in every tool I use.
