This is my second piece on Transient. Like the first one "Moving through neighborhood", this began with an analog collage which are various pieces of paper, photographs and prints cut and glued on a piece of white paper. My analog collages are quite rough and messy and the paper is often warped after applying paint and glue, so when I take a picture of it, you can tell that it's not flat. I used to cut out these warped white parts, but leaving them in adds a different quality which you can't easily make digitally. On top, I've added digital bits which are leftover bits from previous pieces I made. In the center you see a photo of teh floor of a room I used to livein. I'm not entirely sure where this is from, but I'm guessing it's from the apartment I lived in when I lived in Providence, Rhode Island. It's quite a mess of a room and I'm still leaving messes wherever I go, even in the digital realm. 5279 × 6753 px
