Midas Curse

The Artwork captures the final solitude of a man imprisoned by his own desires. Once a king who sought gold above all else, Midas now stands alone — abandoned by power, stripped of meaning. The artwork shows him swallowed by darkness, with nothing left to see but his own reflection in gold. His body is bound, his feet no longer free to conquer but held in place by the weight of his choices. A sword runs through him—a final, silent judgment that even kings are not spared from ruin. Midas, in his last moments, is frozen between life and death — a figure of agony, regret, and inevitable downfall. He reached the pinnacle of wealth, only to find himself utterly alone, betrayed by the very gold he once worshipped.
