Life Of The Party
Sometimes you create artwork based on your life experiences, such as LIFE OF THE PARTY, which is about my first day of attending a nite party, which I slept through without enjoying the moment. I went there expecting to have fun, enjoy the atmosphere, and create good memories, but the night turned out completely different from what I imagined. I became drunk and eventually slept off, missing most of the experience around me.
The artwork captures the irony of the title although I was physically present at the party, I barely experienced it. The people, drinks, lights, and relaxed atmosphere represent everything happening around me, while my position in the scene reflects how disconnected I felt from it. For me, “Life of the Party” is a reminder of my first party experience and how sometimes an experience we look forward to can turn out very differently from what we imagined.
