Being alone and immersing myself fully in my personal process has taught me something essential: how to enjoy life without depending on others to feel alive. My love for life and for my city has grown in ways I didn’t expect. The places I’ve walked, the people I’ve crossed paths with, the music that moves through the streets—everything now carries a different weight, a deeper dimension. Even though I still wrestle at times with profound frustration and pain, life still has magic and favorable winds for me. Today, seeing my hometown so severely affected has touched my heart in ways I’m still struggling to fully process. I took this photograph in one of my favorite places in the city, the Sendero Cristo Rey days before the 7.4 earthquake that hit almost all Colombia. At that moment of the picture, I felt a quiet gratitude rising in me, mixed with a longing for clearer answers: What is my purpose as an artist? How can I keep contributing to the city that raised me? Today feels like an opportunity to answer that question and you can be part of it. By collecting this piece, you are not only acquiring a work of art. You are sending resources, presence, and care to families, local businesses, pets, and an entire community that needs more than material help. It needs the empathy and the prayers of the world.
