The Fractura Series

Editions series by Rocketgirl. FRACTURA explores the fragmentation of self-portraiture through digital corruption and glitch aesthetics. Using a custom AI model trained exclusively on Rocketgirl's oil paintings combined with her own photography, each piece begins as abstracted portraiture before being deliberately broken - layered with digital collage, moshed, and subjected to data decay. The series investigates the space between analog gesture and digital erosion, where the body becomes signal interference, memory becomes artifact, and the painted figure fractures into something neither wholly human nor wholly machine. Each edition captures a moment of controlled collapse: the self as corrupted transmission.
