Emily Lazar/ September Mourning

Emily Lazar is a multi-disciplinary artist fronting the rock/metal transmedia project, September Mourning, who made history as the first female metal/ hard rock musician to mint and sell an NFT. She currently has well over 2800 collectors across 9 platforms. She has spoken about her accomplishments in Web 3/ NFT's at Harvard (2x), NFT.NYC (2x), NFT LA, Art Basel, and ETH Denver Conferences. In 2023 Emily was selected alongside noteworthy musicians and artists like Snoop Dogg, Beeple, Pussy Riot, Fvckrender and more to be featured in the documentary “NFT WTF” which is airing on Netflix UK now. She was also a selected recipient of the Avalanche Avaissance Grant which funded her endeavors and enabled her to create on their platform. In the summer of 2024, after a proposal from Lazar, Web 3 giant Gala Music wrapped September Mourning’s tour bus in Gala and September Mourning QR codes and Art, and provided tour support for their summer tour. September Mourning is based on a comic book series she wrote and published through Image/Top Cow Comics with her business partner Marc Silvestri (Batman/Witchblade/Darkness). She plays the title character on stage. Emily designed the world she and her band bring to life on stage, including costumes, choreography, sets, etc. She has toured & opened festivals for Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Slipknot and others in Europe and the United States, as well as Comic Cons and Anime Festivals.
