Find Who I Am

Find woman I Am

Find Who I Am Find Who I Am is a collection of physical abstract expressionist self-portraits rooted in lived experience. These works are not imagined; they are embodied traces of real moments in my life—days when I had to carry multiple identities at once: mother, working woman, daughter, and wife. In order to function within these roles, I learned to wear a mask—to hide grief, exhaustion, and emotional weight beneath a controlled surface. Each piece is created as a self-portrait through abstraction and material intervention. The mask becomes both subject and symbol, representing the emotional performance of survival in everyday life. To intensify this sense of suffocation and psychological pressure, I added layers of plastic over the masks, binding and fusing the materials together. This physical constriction becomes a metaphor for internal containment, emotional silence, and the feeling of being trapped within one’s own roles. The act of assembling, covering, and compressing these forms is not only aesthetic, but deeply personal. It reflects a continuous negotiation between identity and expectation, visibility and concealment, presence and disappearance. Find Who I Am is ultimately a search for the self beneath performance—a попыт to reclaim what remains when all imposed identities are stripped away.
