Created in 2025 , Sri Lanka Kaaman koothu is a cultural festival by Malayaha Tamil people has been conducted for years and years to keep the culture alive. Kaman Koothu is a traditional folk performance art practiced by Upcountry Tamils in Sri Lanka, brought by Indian Tamil immigrants post-1815. It is a vibrant, overnight, dance drama (koothu) depicting the story of Manmathan (Kaman) destroying Lord Shiva's meditation, being burned, and his wife Rathi's lamentation. It serves as both entertainment and a vital cultural link for the community, showcasing traditional music, dance, and storytelling.
