CryoFunghus

CryoFunghus is part of "A Glacier’s Breath" series, a visual archive of exhaled time. Each frame captures air that’s been trapped beneath the ice for centuries to millennia, now released by light, but still held by pressure. These are not just photographs of ice. They are fossils of atmosphere. Echoes of ancient climates. The breath of a world that no longer exists. The grail of the series, and the very first breath I ever saw. This mushroom-shaped void, suspended in glacial silence, was the spark that lit the fire in me. It’s the moment I knew I had to chase more of them, to dive deeper, to find the most beautiful one. Formed under immense pressure and yet so fragile, this bubble floats like a frozen exhale, perfectly intact, untouched for thousands of years… until our paths crossed beneath the ice.
