Cloudline Collision
Cloudline Collision
Step by step and year by year,
Trouble finds me, always near.
Can’t remember where I’m from,
Lost the tracks of where I’ve gone.
Try to breathe but choke on dust,
Shadows cut my eyes like rust.
Can’t react, too late to see,
Slam the brakes and lose the key.
When fate kicks ground from under me,
When wheels get stuck in mud’s decree,
I see your eyes inside the skies —
So close they burn, yet out of reach, disguise.

Then arcs of color split the dome,
And tears evaporate to home.
When fate kicks ground from under me,
When wheels get stuck in mud’s decree,
I see your eyes inside the skies —
So close they burn, yet out of reach, disguise.
So much I wish that you could hear,
