freedom
Chromalake
I created a small sea of color — a sea marked on no map, appearing in no legend.
I float in it, not knowing whether I have drowned or been set free.
The colors are submerged; the leaves have turned to gold.
The sun beats beneath the water, and the shadow of red trees trembles within it.
Someone has left their color behind here!
I wish this war would end.
If the world comes to its end, carry me to the sea, and leave me there.
I am drowning in this cubic solitude.
